Elings Park Trail Work Wednesday
April 10th, 2019 — 5:00pm – 7:00pm
We had a fantastic Wednesday work session at Elings today! Ben was the event leader and Cody, Marc and Donn were crew leaders. We worked on the ‘XC Downhill/Uphill’ Trail—The trail on the Cliff Dr. side of the park closest to the Mesa.
We had a great turnout of 15 volunteers today!
Together we focused on the top part of the trail where we built rolling grade dips and knicks, and debermed and filled in ruts. We also worked on clearing some of the mustard that is blocking the line of sight, and sometimes catching handlebars!
At the end of the day about half of the crew gave the trail a go.
Then we finished off with some snacks. Chips and Guac was a hit!… oh yeah, but the Cookies did win the disappearing contest first.
Thanks everyone! Check back on our website and Facebook to find out where our next work day is. We will probably be doing Elings work days once a month moving forward.
