On September 29th, the Santa Barbara Mountain Bike Trail Volunteers in coordination with the Los Padres Forest Service and the National Public Lands Day Organization (www.publiclandsday.org), hosted the 2007 National Public Lands Day event in Santa Barbara.

Working near the intersection of the West Fork of Cold Springs and the trail to Tangerine Falls, volunteers repaired slide damage to the trail bed. This section of trail is now easier and safer to use. Sustainable guidelines were used and water should now sheet off of the trail instead of focusing and causing extra soil deposition.
