Description: Jesusita Trail Maintenance put on by the Trail Alliance (A coordinated effort between the LPFA, SBMTV, Sierra Club, LPTR and other outdoor groups!) Date: Saturday, February 5th, 2005 Start Time: 8:30 am End Time: 3:00 pm (Time Zone: US/Eastern) Category: Volunteer Project Description The Trails Alliance will be hosting a volunteer project on the Jesusita Trail to begin repairing the trail, clearing out debris, adding erosion control features and fixing washouts. We will be meeting at the trailhead just above Cater Filtration Plant at 8:30AM and be out on the trail by 9AM at the latest. Please sign up ahead of time via email so we can plan for tools, etc. Bring lunch, plenty of water and lots of enthusiasm! This Feb 12th and 13th, the renowned IMBA Trail Care Crew and SBMTV will be holding one of the best two day trail building and maintaining classes that you can take. The two day class will focus on building and maintaining sustainable trails - trails that are environment friendly, mitigate erosion and control water flow, reduce user conflicts, and improve all users experience of the trail. The TCC class is for and open to all community members, hikers, equestrians, bicyclists, outdoor and environmental organizations, and government agencies.
