On April 1st 2004, the bike path between Modoc Rd and Goleta beach was renamed and dedicated to Vie and George Obern. Vie was responsible for the creation of this bike path in 1975. Vie and George, Santa Barbara trail advocates for over 40 years, are also responsible for creation of the Rattlesnake and Jesusita Trails (among others)...
