IMBA's and SBMTV's 3rd Annual National Take a Kid Mountain Cycling Day was a great success! Approximately 20 participants gathered at Ellwood around 12 noon. First a short introduction and trail safety talk was given by Jed Hirsch. A nature stop was included in the route around Ellwood Mesa. Chris Lang from Friends of the Ellwood Coast gave another wonderful and interesting talk/tour of the Ellwood Monarch Butterfly Grove. Afterwards a number of riders gathered at the refreshment table setup by SBMTV'er Dorothy LittleJohn. Peanut butter, jelly, bagels, fruit, sodas, and juices where all set out and devoured by the riders... *Special thanks to volunteers Damon Eckert, Dorothy Littlejohn, Paul Herning, Dave Phreaner, Jed Hearsh, John Berbert, Chris Lang, Becca Sampson, Michael Blake, and Rubayi with the Ciyt of Goleta! You guys made it happen!
