The upper part of the trail starts off qui … The upper part of the trail starts off quite smooth below Camino Cielo, but quickly becomes very rocky. It is consistently challenging, with a mix of loose and embedded rocks, with a couple of small drops along the way. The lower trail follows the Cold Springs Creek, and varies between smooth single track and short rocky areas. The [[Trail:WestFork|Cold Springs West Fork trail]] meets up with this trail near the lower trail head. with this trail near the lower trail head. +
