Trail wiki ground rules

These are in addition to the Code of Conduct listed below:

  • Everything you write should be your own work
Please don't copy information from other mountain biking websites or from guide books. If copyrighted information is found, it'll just be deleted.
  • You don't own the content after you submit it
Other people may come along and edit what you wrote. That's the idea with a wiki. Don't change it back right away. Please take a deep breath, and take a minute to consider whether the page may be better because of the edits.
Also, please understand that this website is published under a non-commercial "Share, Share Alike" license. People are free to use the content they find here in other sites, as long as they publish it in the same spirit.
  • Don't post information about illegal trails
We believe in riding legal trails only.
  • Be nice

Santa Barbara Mountain Bike Trail Volunteers Website Code of Conduct

SBMTV is a tight-knit, local community. We want it to be more like a friendly neighborhood than an anonymous online website. With that in mind:

We expect everyone to refrain from posting:

We do expect the following:

SBMTV reserves the right to remove or edit content that violates any of these policies or can be construed as offensive or counter productive to the goal of greater mountain bike access. Normally we'll try to contact the individuals involved when we do so, but if you don't play nice, we may not feel inspired to either.
